An evening of the best of British cinema scores by composers whose surnames all begin with A. Greenaway would be proud.

The 62nd Edition of the program, and featuring music from superlative British films relased between 1945 and 1961. Much from Ealing (most of the Auric scores), but also quite a lot of David Lean (The Sound Barrier, Hobson's Choice and, of course, The Bridge On The River Kwai), some fine Celia Johnson fare (The Holly And The Ivy and The Captain's Paradise) and even an entry or two directed (The Card, The Million Pound Note) or produced (The Magic Box) by the late, great Ronald Neame (1911-2010).
